BCMI Installation at IRCAM Forum (post-event)

On 27 September 2025, a presentation and installation "Brain-Computer Music Interfacing for Live Music Performance" took place during the IRCAM Forum at the Lielas Dzintars concert venue in Liepaja, Latvia. An article about the topic is published on the forum's website.


The presentation provides an overview of Brain-Computer Music Interface (BCMI) research and shares some examples of past BCMI systems developed for live music performance by our JVLMA Research team since 2019. A copy of the presentation slides can be accessed here.



About the Installation


The installation was a demonstration of a two-person BCMI system and its potential uses for live music interaction. An overview of the technical setup is shown below.
